After the Audit — For Solo Founders & SMBs

The Audit Found the Problems.
Now Let’s Fix Them.

Fix & Ship is the hands-on follow-up to the AI Project Audit. I personally repair the critical findings — security holes, fragile architecture, production blockers — and hand your project back stable, verified, and ready for real users. Same engineer who found the issues, so nothing gets lost in translation.

An audit tells you what’s wrong. Fix & Ship is where it gets repaired — by the engineer who found it, on a fixed quote you approve before any work starts.

What Gets Fixed

Critical Security Fixes

The issues that can't wait — closed before your users find them the hard way.

  • Authentication & session vulnerabilities patched
  • Injection points (SQL, XSS) closed
  • Exposed secrets rotated and moved to safe storage
  • Access control gaps fixed and tested

Architecture Stabilization

Untangle the structures that break something every time you add a feature.

  • The fragile core refactored — not the whole app
  • Duplicated and conflicting logic consolidated
  • Codebase made navigable for AI tools again
  • Clear boundaries so new features stop causing regressions

Production Readiness

Everything your app needs to survive contact with real users.

  • Environment configuration and secrets management
  • Logging and error monitoring wired up
  • Deployment with rollback capability
  • Database backups and recovery basics in place

Verified Handoff

Not just "pushed" — every fix mapped back to the audit finding it resolves.

  • Before / after report keyed to your audit findings
  • Tests covering the repaired critical paths
  • Clean PR history your team can learn from
  • 60-minute walkthrough call at handoff

Who This Is For

Built for solo founders and small businesses who completed the AI Project Audit and want the critical findings fixed by the engineer who found them — fast, on a fixed quote, without hiring and onboarding a developer.

  • Your audit came back with a list of critical findings and you want them resolved before launch
  • You don't want to explain the problems to a new developer — the auditor already knows the codebase
  • You (or your team) want to keep building features while the critical path gets repaired
  • You want fixes verified and documented against the audit — not just a pile of commits
  • You need a fixed price and a clear timeline, not an open-ended hourly engagement

This is probably not for you if:

  • You haven't had an audit yet — start with the AI Project Audit ($700), it defines the scope that makes a fixed quote possible
  • You need ongoing months-long oversight and development — that's the Engineering Retainer ($4,000/mo)
  • The audit verdict recommended a rebuild — a repair package won't save a foundation that has to be replaced

How It Works

1

Your audit defines the scope

Every Fix & Ship starts from an audit report — findings prioritized Critical → High → Nice-to-have. We agree together on exactly which findings go into the package. No audit yet? Start with the $700 AI Project Audit.

2

Fixed quote — approved before work starts

Based on the agreed findings you get an exact price and timeline. Typically $1,500–$3,000 and 1–2 weeks, depending on how much the audit uncovered. You approve the quote — only then does the clock start.

3

I fix the critical path personally

Work happens in focused branches with clean pull requests. Your development doesn't have to stop — I coordinate async so your team (or your AI tools) keep building while the foundation gets repaired.

4

Verification & handoff

Every fix is verified against the original audit finding. You receive a before / after report, tests covering the repaired paths, and a 60-minute walkthrough call so you know exactly what changed and why.

Common Questions

Do I need the audit first?

Yes — the audit is what makes a fixed quote possible. It maps every issue, its severity, and its blast radius, so the repair scope is defined before any work starts. If you have a recent, comparable audit from another senior engineer or security firm, send it over — in most cases I can quote from it after a short review.

Why "from $1,500"? What determines the final price?

The volume and severity of the audit findings. A handful of critical security fixes sits near $1,500; deep architecture stabilization with production-readiness work approaches $3,000. Whatever the number, it's fixed and approved by you before work begins — the quote doesn't change mid-engagement.

Will you rewrite my whole app?

No. Fix & Ship targets the critical path with the smallest surface area that makes the project safe and stable. If the audit had concluded your app needs a ground-up rebuild, that would be in the verdict — and I'd talk you out of paying for a repair package.

Can development continue while you work?

Yes. Fixes happen in dedicated branches with clean pull requests, coordinated asynchronously. You or your team keep shipping features — we just agree on which areas are "under repair" so we don't collide.

What if new critical issues surface during the work?

It happens — repairs sometimes expose problems the audit couldn't see from the outside. When it does, I flag it immediately with options and honest effort estimates. The scope never grows silently, and nothing gets added to the invoice without your explicit approval.

What happens after Fix & Ship?

You ship. Many clients then continue with the Engineering Retainer ($4,000/mo) to keep the codebase under professional control as it grows — but there's no obligation. The handoff is designed so you can continue entirely on your own.

Don’t Ship Known Problems.
Fix Them First.

The riskiest thing you can do after an audit is nothing. Every finding on that list is cheaper to fix now than after your users hit it in production.
